Description
The Pittsburgh Pirates made Kevin “Lolo” Sanchez their top international signing in 2015 as a 16-year-old. He was a shortstop, who moved to center field to take advantage of his plus speed. Sanchez had a solid rookie season in the Dominican Summer League, then put up better numbers in the U.S. in 2017, establishing himself as a top 20 prospect in the Pirates system. In 2018, he was skipped over two levels to Low-A ball, where he batted .243 and stole 30 bases in 114 games. His 2018 Bowman Draft card shows him playing catch in the outfield. Sanchez is a top 30 prospect in the Pirates system, with the tools to move up that list.
